Our Carbotec ESD products are made from a high-quality, lint-free blended fabric made from 98% polyester and 2% carbon fibre. This fabric is electrically conductive & permanently antistatic acc. EN1149-5.
Our Carbotec line combines maximum functionality, process reliability and modern design.
There are branches of industry in which the production processes take place under strictly specified and controlled conditions. The pharmaceutical, semiconductor and electronics industries, plastics processing, painting and coating companies as well as biotechnology companies must create clearly defined working environments in order to protect the products they manufacture against harmful human influences.
What does ESD mean?
ESD stands for Electric Static Discharge and is also referred to as antistatic or electrically discharging. In principle, no natural materials or fabrics made from staple fibers should be used for cleanroom clothing. They tend to break off in the event of friction, such as occurs when they are worn or washed, or can be detached from the yarn structure and contaminate the environment. For cleanroom clothing, it is therefore recommended to only use polyester continuous filaments, which are processed into very fine, dense fabrics with a small pore size.
